OXON HILL, Md. — We reported on the exciting news last month about a mini Las Vegas-esque sphere making its way to the DMV.

WATCH: How much economic impact could the Sphere have on Maryland?
On Wednesday Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Prince George’s County Executive Aisha Braveboy spoke on the economic impact such an attraction could bring the state.
The landmark destination planned for National Harbor would be just the second of its kind in the nation.

According to a new analysis, the sphere, once in operation, would potentially generate $1.5 billion annually for the County and State, a good chunk of it from job creation.
Construction alone could result in 3,350 jobs, adding even more economic growth.
Upon completion officials are hopeful the Sphere can support 7,100 full-and part-time jobs, a significant increase from earlier estimates.
The analysis broke down the anticipated jobs numbers this way:
- 1,250 Sphere employees, ranging from video and sound engineers, technical production, marketing, concessions and more
- 5,850 jobs supported by visitors, suppliers, and induced employee spending at Sphere and throughout Prince George’s County

Here's how Braveboy explained the drastic difference in new job estimates.
The Sphere at National Harbor should seat around 6,000 people.
An over-sized LED display called the "Exosphere" will be boldly featured outside the venue, with a 16K x 16K LED screen, which supposedly offers the world's highest resolution, on the inside.

So, how long will it take to build the Sphere? Braveboy believes about four years.
